JOB SUMMARY

Warehouse employees are responsible for maintaining & organizing all manufacturer inventory for the company. This includes shipping, receiving, stock placement, customer pickup and intercompany transfers. General overall maintenance and cleanup of the warehouse area is essential and part of a well-organized inventory.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Picking & packaging of all customer parts orders and intercompany transfers.
  • Receiving incoming parts from various manufacturers through various freight suppliers and reviewing the overall quantity and condition of these parts upon arrival.
  • Receiving incoming parts from intercompany transfers of various manufacturers and reviewing the overall quantity and condition of these parts upon arrival.
  • Stocking & placing all parts away within the warehouse, while ensuring that each part is placed in their appropriate bin location.
  • Boxing and shipping out parts orders to customers, returns to manufacturers & miscellaneous packages.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized warehouse free of loose inventory, clutter & trash, thus insuring a safe work environment.
  • Operate company forklift and perform basic functions of loading & unloading freight.

ORGANIZATIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND/OR SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Operates within all parts policies & procedures of the company and safety guidelines.
  • Receives & updates inventory stock within company operating system.
  • Ability to operate a company vehicle as directed.
  • Perform additional duties as required or requested by upper management, to achieve company goals set forth and increase productivity and efficiency within the company.

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE / ATTRIBUTES

  • High School Diploma.
  • Knowledge of basic inventory principles such as LIFO & FIFO.
  • Basic knowledge & experience with industrial fork trucks.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to work with long alpha numeric number sequences.
  • Team oriented, Willingness to learn new skills & positive interaction with customers is a must!
  • Basic computer literacy – email, internet navigation, etc.

WORKING CONDITIONS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit for long periods of time; talk or hear; perform fine motor, hand, and finger skills in the use of a keyboard, telephone, or writing. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; and reach with arms and/or hands. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Ability to periodically lift up to 15 pounds. Ability to work in an Office & Warehouse environment.
