Tax Senior – AEC (Architecture, Engineering, and Construction) Group

Location: New York City (Hybrid/Remote – Must be local to NYC)

ABOUT THE POSITION:
We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Senior with expertise in the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry. In this role, you will manage and coordinate tax compliance and advisory services, provide technical tax expertise, and develop strategies that ensure compliance while optimizing financial outcomes for clients.

This position is ideal for candidates with a strong tax accounting background, analytical problem-solving skills, and a passion for building client relationships in the AEC sector.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare and review federal and state income tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and trusts in the AEC industry.
• Conduct tax research to address technical tax issues and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Provide tax planning and advisory services tailored to clients’ specific needs.
• Manage tax audits and communicate effectively with tax authorities.
• Mentor and support junior staff, fostering their professional growth.
• Collaborate with internal teams to deliver integrated tax solutions.
• Stay updated on tax law changes, regulations, and trends affecting the AEC industry.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, serving as a trusted advisor.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:

• Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA certification preferred.

Experience:

• 2+ years of tax experience, with a focus on clients in the AEC industry.
• Strong understanding of federal and state tax laws and regulations.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication skills and ability to manage client relationships.
• Proficiency with tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.

COMPENSATION:

• Base Salary: $90,000 to $125,000 (commensurate with experience).
