We are seeking a seasoned Senior Project Manager – Mechanical to lead and oversee commercial HVAC construction projects from start to finish. This individual will be responsible for ensuring all aspects of the project—including scope, schedule, safety, cost control, and client communication—are effectively managed. The ideal candidate will bring extensive knowledge of mechanical systems and construction processes, along with strong leadership and business acumen.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee full-cycle HVAC construction projects, ensuring adherence to quality, timelines, and budget expectations.
  • Lead and enforce safety compliance standards; promote and maintain a culture of safety across all project sites.
  • Manage project documentation, change orders, and design revisions with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Define and manage project scope, aligning field operations with customer expectations and contractual requirements.
  • Provide basic scheduling oversight, including coordination of field resources and subcontractors.
  • Lead procurement efforts—material, equipment, and subcontractor coordination to meet project milestones.
  • Collaborate with estimators to support accurate project bids and budgets.
  • Monitor financial performance of projects, including cost tracking, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Maintain and develop strong client and subcontractor relationships to support repeat business and referrals.
  • Assist with and support business development efforts, including proposal preparation and sales strategy.

What We're Looking For:

  • 8+ years of experience managing mechanical construction projects in the commercial sector.
  • Deep understanding of mechanical systems including HVAC, piping, ductwork, and related technologies.
  • Strong ability to read, interpret, and manage construction documents, drawings, and specifications.
  • Proven experience with scheduling tools, project controls, and field resource coordination.
  • Familiarity with industry-specific design techniques, tools, and principles.
  • Solid foundation in business operations, construction finance, contract law, and project sales.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and client relationship-building skills.
  • Willingness to travel as required for project needs.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
  • OSHA 30-hour certification preferred.
  • Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, etc.).
