Employment Information

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Coordinator to support the Safety Manager and partner with plant leadership in promoting a culture of safety excellence. This role is critical in identifying and mitigating hazards before incidents occur, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal EHS regulations, and helping maintain a safe and compliant manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the review, revision, and implementation of safety programs to ensure regulatory compliance and alignment with company policies.
  • Collaborate with operations and cross-functional teams to evaluate current work practices and recommend risk-reduction strategies.
  • Lead the plant’s incident investigation processes: identify root causes, assign corrective actions, and follow up to ensure resolution and prevention.
  • Deliver engaging monthly safety training sessions to all plant personnel. Continuously assess and enhance training effectiveness.
  • Conduct specialized safety training sessions (e.g., lockout/tagout, confined space, PPE use).
  • Perform regular safety audits and inspections to assess compliance with internal and external standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, ideally in Occupational Health & Safety, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment (assembly or machine shop preferred).
  • Experience supervising in a high-volume, fast-paced facility.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA standards and regulatory compliance practices.
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred.
  • CPE, CSP, or CIH certifications are a plus.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with a hands-on and collaborative approach to safety.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to walk and stand for extended periods across the facility.
  • Must be comfortable working in manufacturing environments, including hot/cold temperatures and loud noise levels.
  • Occasional lifting of up to 25 lbs; appropriate PPE must be worn in designated areas (e.g., safety glasses, hearing protection).
  • Office work includes traditional equipment and a standard ambient environment.
