Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented RN – Quality Clinical Excellence Specialist to support clinical performance improvement, patient safety initiatives, and regulatory compliance across the organization. This role is ideal for a Registered Nurse with a passion for data-driven outcomes, clinical excellence, and transformational healthcare improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing patient care, safety, and clinical outcomes.
  • Analyze clinical data and performance metrics to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with nursing leadership, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams to implement evidence-based best practices.
  • Monitor compliance with accreditation standards, regulatory requirements (CMS, TJC, etc.), and internal quality benchmarks.
  • Participate in root cause analyses, failure mode and effects analyses (FMEAs), and other risk mitigation activities.
  • Assist in developing and delivering education and training on quality improvement methodologies, policies, and clinical standards.
  • Serve as a clinical resource during audits, surveys, and external reviews.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for executive leadership, quality committees, and other stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Current and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of clinical nursing experience in an acute care setting.
  • At least 2 years of experience in quality improvement, patient safety, or clinical outcomes preferred.
  • Strong understanding of quality frameworks such as Six Sigma, Lean, PDSA, or RCA methodologies.
  • Proficiency in interpreting healthcare data and quality reporting tools (e.g., NHSN, Vizient, Press Ganey).
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.

Preferred Certifications:

  • Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ)
  • Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt
  • Certified Professional in Patient Safety (CPPS)
