Pediatric Cardiac Sonographer

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Pediatric Cardiac Sonographer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in performing echocardiographic studies on pediatric patients, from neonates to adolescents, using advanced imaging techniques to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of congenital and acquired heart conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform high-quality echocardiograms, including transthoracic, transesophageal, and fetal echocardiography, following established protocols.
• Collaborate with pediatric cardiologists to ensure accurate interpretation of imaging studies.
• Analyze and document findings, ensuring timely and precise reporting.
• Assist in the assessment and monitoring of pediatric patients with congenital and acquired heart diseases.
• Maintain and calibrate ultrasound equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Educate patients and families on procedures and address any concerns with compassion and professionalism.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, HIPAA regulations, and accreditation standards.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications:

• Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Cardiovascular Technology, or a related field.
• Certification: Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) with a Pediatric Echocardiography (PE) specialty through ARDMS or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) with a Pediatric Echocardiography specialty through CCI.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in pediatric echocardiography, preferably in a hospital or clinical setting.
• Strong knowledge of congenital and acquired pediatric heart conditions.
• Proficiency in using advanced echocardiographic equipment and software.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
