Overview:

We are seeking a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) with a passion for excellence in patient care to join our outpatient clinics in Willis and Conroe. As an Occupational Therapist specializing in hand and upper extremity therapy, you will play a vital role in helping patients regain function and independence following injury, surgery, or chronic conditions affecting the hand, wrist, elbow, or shoulder.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and treat patients with upper extremity conditions, including post-operative cases, repetitive strain injuries, and trauma.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on clinical assessment and physician protocols.
  • Utilize evidence-based techniques and modalities to optimize outcomes in function, pain management, and mobility.
  • Fabricate custom orthoses/splints as needed for injury protection, recovery, or functional enhancement.
  • Collaborate closely with physicians, case managers, and other rehabilitation team members.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care in compliance with clinic and regulatory standards.
  • Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, prevention strategies, and post-treatment care.
  • Contribute to clinic quality improvement and assist in mentoring newer team members or students, if applicable.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Current Texas Occupational Therapist License (OTR/L) in good standing.
  • Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) credential required.
  • Minimum of 2 years clinical experience in outpatient hand therapy or related setting.
  • Proficient in custom splint fabrication and upper extremity rehabilitation techniques.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centered approach.

Preferred Experience:

  • Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
  • Experience working in a multidisciplinary clinic environment.
  • Spanish-speaking ability is a plus, but not required.
