Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Millwright to join a mining operation in Northern New York. In this mid-senior role, you will perform maintenance on cone and jaw crushers, conveyor systems, industrial slurry pumps, and perform welding/fabrication tasks. Located within a 2-hour drive of the Thousand Islands, Lake Ontario shoreline, and Adirondack Mountains (including Lake Placid skiing), this position offers relocation assistance and comprehensive benefits.


Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and rebuild cone and jaw crushers, crusher screens, conveyor belts, rollers, and drive units.

  • Rebuild and maintain industrial slurry pumps, ensuring optimal performance.

  • Perform welding, fabrication, and pipe-fitting tasks in support of mill operations.

  • Adhere strictly to MSHA and established safety procedures to maintain a safe working environment.

  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs conducted on equipment.

  • Collaborate with the mill crew to support continuous production and troubleshoot breakdowns.

  • Work normal Monday–Friday hours, with flexibility for emergency repairs or special projects as they arise.

  • Perform other reasonable duties as needed to support mill operations and safety standards.


Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on mechanical experience in an industrial or mining environment.

  • Familiarity with rod and ball milling processes is a significant plus.

  • Strong understanding of mechanical principles and industrial machinery operation.

  • Proficiency using a variety of hand tools, welding equipment (MIG/TIG), and diagnostic instruments.

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues.

  • Physical strength and endurance sufficient to move, lift, and maneuver heavy equipment safely.

  • Advantageous: ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings with ease.

  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and maintain detailed work logs.

  • Industrial maintenance experience preferred, but all relevant backgrounds will be considered.

  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S. (no visa sponsorship).
