Position Summary:

As a Registered Nurse Operating Room, you will ensure the highest standard of care for surgical patients. This includes coordinating patient care, acting as a resource for staff, and facilitating problem-solving. You will assist with Quality Improvement Activities, ensure compliance with hospital policies, and support staff education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality patient care using advanced nursing skills in a surgical setting.
  • Maintain continuity of care and serve as a resource for subordinate staff.
  • Facilitate problem-solving and assist with Quality Improvement Activities.
  • Participate in staff education and ensure compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide seamless patient care.

Facility Information:

  • 6 Operating Room Suites and 1 Cath Lab Room.

Qualifications:

  • Licensure: Active RN license in the state of employment.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years RN experience, with a surgical/OR focus.
  • Skills: Leadership, problem-solving, and commitment to Quality Improvement initiatives.

Must-Haves

  1. Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of employment.
  2. Minimum of 2 years experience as a Registered Nurse, with a focus on surgical or operating room care.
  3. Strong understanding of surgical procedures and OR protocols.
  4. Ability to ensure continuity of care and provide leadership to subordinate staff.
  5. Proficiency in Quality Improvement processes and staff education initiatives.

Nice-To-Haves

  1. Experience in a multi-suite OR environment (6 OR suites, 1 Cath Lab).
  2. Prior experience in staff education and mentoring.
  3. Familiarity with Quality Improvement Activities.
  4. Advanced certifications such as CNOR.
